Cake of the Month! Hi Everyone, it's Holiday time, so I've included a few cakes (& cookies too)!  The Christmas Carol Cake! I love this cake with its fun carolers made from choclate lollipops & sheet music cut-outs popping out of the cake, It's so simpl, but so fun! See the Lollipop Gallery for all directions. I especially love this cake because it was supposed to be a Baby Shower cake, but the baby came early, so I quickly turned it into carolers for my kids' teachers' party..good timing Baby Ella!).  The Sugared Fruit Cake & Cupcake Tower! How perfect for the season of Sugar plum fairies! I simply sugared grapes, oranges, carnberries & blueberries and made a simple cake & cupcake tower! It was so festive and spectacular in the candlelit room! And how fun to have so much fruit in the winter...awesome! See the Cupcake Gallery for all details.
Presents are always good...especially when they're made from cake! I love these Present cakes, with boxy shapes, fondant bows, and yumminess all inside! You can find directions for this & other examples of Present Cakes in the 3D Gallery and FAQs. And I keep thinking of changing the Mickey Present cake and putting Santa's picture in there...wouldn't that be fun!

Anything Else Cakey? - Thank you for making our Bake Sale in June a HUGE Success! We sold out of everything and raised over $1600...100% of went to Share Our Strength to support food programs for hungry kids! Best wishes & thanks so much! - The AP reported (2:06CST, 8/16/09) that the world's record was broken for the WORLD's LARGEST CUPCAKE! It was made by Ryan Abood, owner of New Hampshire-based Gourmetgiftbaskets.com, and was served in slices in exchange for donations to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure breast cancer organization. Mr. Abood was reported to say the cupcake took 8 hours to bake and used 800 eggs and 200 pounds each of sugar and flour. In total, the cupcake weighed in at 1,224 pounds and its girth was more than 8 times bigger than the previous world-record holder. Way to go Mr. Abood, and all for a good cause...YOU ARE AWESOME! - I am loving your e-mails!
